We are a matching service, not a contractor
Hill Country Barn Builders is a marketing and lead generation service operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered company. We do not design, build, or inspect anything. We are not a licensed contractor, and we perform no construction work. All barndominium, metal building, and related construction is performed by independent, licensed contractors.
How the matching works
When you submit a project through our form, your information is shared with a licensed local builder who works in your area so they can contact you to schedule a free consultation or quote. You then deal with that builder directly. Any contract, pricing, and work is strictly between you and the contractor.
How we make money
A contractor pays to receive qualified introductions from this site. That is the entire business model. It is why the service is free to you, and it is why we are careful never to claim to be the builder. We are paid for the introduction, not for any construction work.
What we do not do
- We do not publish reviews, ratings, or testimonials, because we have none to claim honestly.
- We do not claim licensing, bonding, insurance, or certifications for ourselves. Those belong to the independent contractors.
- We do not claim years in business, a team, or a history we do not have.
- We do not present stock images as our own completed projects.
Consent to be contacted
When you submit the form and check the consent box, you agree that Compass Camper LLC and a Hill Country builder may contact you at the phone number and email you provide, including by automated calls, prerecorded messages, and text messages, about your building project. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or asking to be removed during a call. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Accuracy and verification
We work hard to keep the permitting and cost information here accurate and well sourced, and we link to county offices, TCEQ, and engineering standards so you can verify. Rules change, so we ask you to confirm current requirements with your county before you design or build. This site is information, not legal, engineering, or permitting advice.
