Do I need a permit to build a barndominium in the Hill Country?
It depends on the county and whether your land is inside a city or in the unincorporated county. Most Hill Country counties do not run general building inspections in unincorporated areas, so the binding step is usually the on-site sewage facility (septic) permit.
